About Brenda

I began practicing yoga in 2015, and in 2024 I was inspired to teach. In January 2025, I completed my 200-hour teacher training at Down Under School of Yoga in Brookline, MA. I returned to Down Under School of Yoga to attend an “Art of Assisting” workshop that focused on asana alignment and then went on to receive a Breathwork and Meditation instructor certification in December.

Working in the medical field as a Registered Vascular Technologist, I witness daily the importance of taking care of the body. When we take care of the body, the body takes care of us.

I believe a consistent yoga practice allows us space to slow down, listen, and reconnect with the inner wisdom that’s always there beneath the noise. Over time, you create balance, clarity, and a sense of stillness you can come back to regardless of what’s happening around you.

My classes follow the Baptiste Journey into Power sequence, which links breath with movement, builds physical strength and flexibility, and focuses on mindfulness. While teaching, I offer cues and assist with adjustments to help students experience each pose with proper alignment. When your pose is aligned, your practice becomes a whole new experience.

When I’m not practicing or teaching yoga, you can find me biking on the rail trails, hiking in the mountains, or kayaking on lakes all over New England.
