December Warrior of the Month: Kimberly Crafts

🌟 November Warrior of the Month: Kim 🌟

Each month, we take a moment to celebrate one of our students whose dedication, spirit, and heart embody what our Zen Yoga & Wellness community is all about.

Our Warrior of the Month series is our way of honoring the incredible individuals who show us that yoga is not about perfection — it’s about presence, perseverance, and connection.

This month, we’re celebrating someone who embodies courage, commitment, and the heart of our Zen community. Learn more about Kim below…

How long have you been coming to Zen?

“I’ve been coming to Zen for 8 months, since April.”

What do you enjoy most about being part of the studio?

“I love the relationships I’ve made, the diversity of the classes and instructors, and being part of a healthy community. The owners put their heart and soul into everything — they’re fair, loving, supportive, and every class feels like walking into a big family gathering… minus the anxiety and the crazy cousin.”

Have you noticed any benefits from classes or special events?

“I noticed strength first — especially in my arms and legs. I feel like I hold my entire body differently now. Movement feels easier, and all the aches and pains have gotten better. But the biggest change has been for my mental health. Yoga gives you tools you can take everywhere: breathwork, meditation, quick poses on the go. It’s my sanctuary.”

Favorite pose or movement — and why?

“Pigeon. It was the hardest for me at first, but it helps you process so much emotion and is a hip opener I didn’t know I needed. I look forward to it in every class.
A close second is chair — only because I think I’m good at it!”

Any advice you’d share with someone just starting out?

“Don’t hold yourself back from something so fulfilling because of fear or judgment. Yoga is for everyone — every age, every body type. Just try it. You’ll impress yourself eventually, I promise.”

We’re so grateful for the way Kim shows up — not just for herself, but for everyone around her. She brings warmth, encouragement, and a genuine kindness that lifts the entire room. It’s an honor to practice alongside her, and we’re proud to celebrate her this month and always.
