November Warrior of the Month: Dorothy Page
🌟 November Warrior of the Month: Dottie 🌟
Each month, we take a moment to celebrate one of our students whose dedication, spirit, and heart embody what our Zen Yoga & Wellness community is all about.
Our Warrior of the Month series is our way of honoring the incredible individuals who show us that yoga is not about perfection — it’s about presence, perseverance, and connection.
This November, we are honored to highlight Dottie. Learn more about her here:
Dottie first practiced yoga in her forties but, as she puts it, “life got in the way.” After her husband passed away six years ago, her friend and neighbor Kathy encouraged her to join Senior Yoga in Westminster. From there, Dottie rediscovered the many benefits of yoga and found that practicing twice a week was exactly what she needed to keep her body flexible, her mind steady, and her spirit uplifted.
Over the past few years, Dottie has faced health challenges — yet her doctors often comment on her remarkable recovery, which she credits in part to her consistent yoga practice. Through yoga, she has maintained her flexibility, improved her balance, and strengthened both body and mind.
What stands out most about Dottie is her grace, positivity, and the kindness she brings to our community. She describes the yoga community as “welcoming, non-judgmental, and accepting of all,” and we couldn’t think of a better reflection of those same qualities than Dottie herself.
This month, Dottie turns 89 — and she continues to show up on her mat with warmth, dedication, and joy. We are truly honored to celebrate her as our November Warrior of the Month, and we look forward to sharing many more years of practice together.
We’re also including a photo of Dottie’s beautiful handwritten letter with her Warrior of the Month answers. You just don’t see handwriting like this anymore — it’s graceful, heartfelt, and such a reflection of who she is.
