October Instructor Spotlight: Rebekah
🌟Rebekah🌟
This month, we’re so excited to celebrate one of the hearts behind Zen: our co-owner, instructor, and friend, Rebekah.🤍
Get to know a little more about the energy, passion, and personality she brings to our Zen community.
As one of Zen’s co-owners and instructors, Rebekah brings an energy that is completely her own. From the strength and intensity of her Hot Power Yoga classes to the deeply restorative space she creates in her Gentle classes and Nidra Heal sessions, Rebekah has an incredible ability to meet people exactly where they are. She is also a beloved part of our senior yoga community, where her warmth, humor, and caring nature shine through in the Senior Chair Yoga classes she teaches.
An E-RYT 500 yoga teacher and Master Level Reiki practitioner, Rebekah has been practicing yoga for more than two decades. But anyone who knows her knows that what she brings to Zen goes far beyond her credentials. She is vibrant, optimistic, deeply caring, and endlessly curious about the things that connect us to something bigger, whether she’s talking about yoga, Reiki, the energy of the moon, or, of course, her beloved crows. 🖤
Family is everything to Rebekah, and when she’s not at Zen, much of her world revolves around her husband, four children, family, friends, and her furry crew at home. She loves staying active, being near the water (especially the ocean!), and spending time with the people she loves most.
And speaking of family, we have to give a little love to Rebekah’s husband, Brian, too. He may not technically be on the Zen team, but anyone who has been around long enough knows he’s basically our unofficial behind-the-scenes go-to guy. From driving vans and keeping us headed in the right direction on retreats, to hauling paddleboards, fixing things at the studios, and stepping in whenever we need an extra set of hands, Brian is always willing to help. We’re incredibly grateful for all the ways he quietly helps keep Zen moving behind the scenes. It’s a quality he shared with Rebekah’s dad, who was always there to lend a hand & is so deeply missed by many.🤍
There’s another side of Zen where you’ll find Rebekah’s touch everywhere: our retail! She has an amazing eye for fashion and is behind so much of what you see in the studio, from the clothing we carry to yoga mats, water bottles, and all those fun finds that catch your eye. If you’ve ever walked in and immediately spotted something you had to have, there’s a good chance Rebekah picked it out.
Rebekah believes yoga is far more than what happens on the mat. It is a way of moving through life with greater awareness, connection, and compassion.
And here’s a fun Rebekah fact: you can actually order a “Rebekah” wrap at The Vice! Yes, named after our very own. If that doesn’t officially make you a local celebrity, we’re not sure what does.
We are so grateful for the heart, warmth, humor, creativity, and light Rebekah brings to Zen, and for all the ways she and her family have become such an important part of our community.
