March Warrior of the Month: Beth

🌟 Meet Beth 🌟

Each month, we highlight someone in our Zen community whose presence quietly shapes the room. This month, we’re honored to celebrate Beth, our March Warrior.

Beth reminds us that strength doesn’t have to be loud. It looks like showing up on the hard days. It looks like steady commitment. It looks like choosing growth, again and again, even when no one is watching.

The Warrior of the Month spotlight is one of our favorite ways to recognize the members who embody what yoga truly is — not perfection, but practice. Not performance, but presence. Beth lives that in a beautiful way.

Get to know her a little better here…

How long have you been coming to Zen?
I have been coming to Zen Yoga since October 2023. Wish I had started coming sooner.

What do you enjoy most about being part of the studio?
The inviting and caring nature that the teachers and students bring to the studio.

Have you noticed any benefits from classes, events, or training?
I used to have chronic back pain from being a desktop computer gamer, but now those are long gone.

Favorite pose or movement, and why?
Tree Pose. I'm huge on building up my balance. Someday I would like to be on the show Survivor, and the balance I learn from that pose will win me a challenge.

Any advice you’d give someone just starting out?
Just stick with coming to the classes you are already going to. Yoga is a practice, and practice is all about the journey and not the destination — commit to the journey.

From Beth’s Google Review (early 2024):
"This studio is amazing! I regularly battle with depression and this studio has gotten me through some of the roughest days. Would highly recommend them to anyone! Your one stop studio for a clearer mind, stronger body, and welcoming community! ^_^"

Beth is a quiet force in our community. She shows up for herself - even on the hard days - with steadiness and commitment. Now stepping into Yoga Teacher Training, she continues to deepen her practice in a way that reflects true growth and courage. We are so excited for her future as a teacher and can’t wait to see the light she brings to others. Thank you for being you, Beth.
