June’s Warrior Duo: Michelle & Pam

At Zen, we’re proud to highlight the incredible individuals who bring heart and soul to our community—those who inspire us with their strength, commitment, and personal growth. Each month, we honor a Warrior of the Month to celebrate just that.

This month, we’re thrilled to recognize a dynamic duo—Michelle & Pam—whose journey together is a beautiful example of friendship, encouragement, and mutual support. Their connection reminds us how powerful it is to show up not just for ourselves, but for each other.

We’re so grateful they’re part of the Zen family—read more about their story below and help us celebrate these amazing women!

Meet June Warrior Duo: Michelle & Pam

We’re thrilled to celebrate this amazing duo whose journey reflects friendship, encouragement, and growth! Their support for one another and commitment to wellness is an inspiration to all of us at Zen.

💬 From Pam:

How long have you been practicing at Zen Yoga & Wellness?
Since September 2024.

What does belonging to the studio mean to you?
It’s so great to be part of a studio where I feel completely comfortable. Everyone is so nice and the sense of community is something I truly appreciate.

What benefits have you found from doing yoga/barre/pilates?
I feel stronger, healthier, and overall just so much better!

What is your favorite pose and why?
Child’s Pose—LOL! It feels so good, especially when you’re starting to get tired. Such a comforting stretch.

Any advice for new yogis?
Stick with it and try different classes. You’ll be amazed at how good it makes you feel!

Final thoughts:
Michelle and I have been friends for over 10 years—honestly, I’ve lost count! Time flies. We’ve been workout buddies for most of that time, starting at a gym, but eventually decided it wasn’t working for us. We’re so glad we found Zen. We love it here and can both say we’re finally getting something out of our workouts. It’s made a big difference!

💬 From Michelle:

How long have you been practicing at Zen Yoga & Wellness?
We started in September 2024 with Beginner Power Sculpt and added Pilates to our weekly routine in January.

What does belonging to the studio mean to you?
It’s helped me become more open to trying new things. If it weren’t for Pam, I never would’ve had the courage to go to a group class. Now I even attend when she can’t make it, because the community is so supportive and kind.

What benefits have you found from doing yoga/barre/pilates?
Zen has been a key part of my 3-year health journey. After being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, I knew I needed to make a change. With major lifestyle shifts and support from Zen, I’ve lost weight and am no longer considered diabetic. Zen is helping me maintain a healthier lifestyle.

What is your favorite pose and why?
Figure 4! I can now put on my socks without sitting down! It sounds simple, but I couldn’t balance on one foot when I started. Now it feels easy.

Any advice for new yogis?
Try new classes—you never know what you’re capable of. No one judges at Zen, and what seems impossible now becomes achievable with time and consistency.

Thank you, Pam and Michelle, for sharing your journey with us. We’re honored to have you both as part of our Zen family! 💛
