August Warrior of the Month: Danika Snyder
Young Heart, Strong Spirit: Danika Snyder
We’re so excited to highlight our young yogi, Danika Snyder, as Zen’s Warrior of the Month for August!
Danika is 13 years old and a student at Notre Dame Academy. She brings such a positive energy and inspiring dedication to the mat, and we’re incredibly grateful to have her as part of our Zen community.
We asked Danika a few questions about her yoga journey – here’s what she had to say:
🧘♀️ How long have you been coming to Zen?
“I have been going to Zen Yoga for 2 years.”
💛 What do you love most about being part of the studio?
“I love how at Zen you always feel included and you can go at your own pace by modifying the workout to make it challenging or lighter.”
✨ Have you noticed any benefits from classes or special events?
“I have noticed many benefits along my journey with Zen – not just muscle definition, but less anxiety and less stress. Zen always clears out my mind and makes me feel refreshed from school or even sitting at home most of the day.”
🔥 Favorite pose or move – and why?
“My favorite move is from Rebekah's Beginner Power Sculpt: sit-ups when Eminem sings and boat pose when Rihanna sings in Love the Way You Lie. Even though it’s challenging, it helps me grow my stamina and push myself to be even better.”
🌱 Any advice for someone just starting out at Zen?
“NEVER compare yourself to the people in the class. Go at your own pace – trust me, you will gradually improve. It takes time to get stronger, so don’t rush it!”
Danika, thank YOU for showing up with such strength, honesty, and heart. We are so proud to celebrate you this month!
